Anya wins Taste of the Lakelands Art Competition
/in School News /by Ballagh NsA big congratulations to Anya in Senior Infants, who won first prize in the Jnr/Snr Infants category of the Taste of the Lakelands Art Competition. This competition was open to all local Primary Schools so it was a super achievement to be awarded 1st prize. Anya proudly displays her wonderful drawing and also the Mega Colouring Set which was presented to her.
Pizza Making at Taste of the Lakelands Festival
/in School News /by Ballagh NsPupils in 5th & 6th class spent a very enjoyable morning at the Taste of the Lakelands Festival where they were given baking lessons by an Italian Chef. The children made some very tasty pizzas which they then ate fresh from the oven.
Tour to Dublinia & Leinster House
/in School News /by Ballagh NsPupils in the Senior Room had a wonderful day recently when they travelled to Dublin with Ms. Nolan and Ms. McGreevey. Their first stop was at Dublin, where they were given a costumed guided tour of the Viking and Medieval History exhibitions. They also visited the two displays in the History Hunters Exhibition. Following lunch, they then travelled to Dáil Éireann, where they were given a guided tour of Leinster House. It was a great day and one that made a big impression on the children.
